Hasanpur, Kaneri, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)

 About 35.5 kilometers east from the Lucknow (The capital city of  Uttar Pradesh, India) a small village Hasanpur  is located. This village comes under Mohanlalganj Mandal of diatrict Lucknow. About 200 families lives their life in this village and population of this village is about 700-800. Generally this village is known as Hasanpur Kaneri. Kaneri is a small village in the side of Hasanpur which comes in same Chhetra Panchayat. Hasanpur is surrounded by its near by villages Chhatauni(2.1 k.m.) ,Moti ka Purva(1 k.m.), Salempur Achaka(2.6 k.m.) ,Natauli(3.8 k.m.) ,Meerakh Nagar(4.3 k.m.), Tamanpur Sehagon (1.5 k.m.)

 Hasanpur is a village of very Honest and self employed people. Agriculture is the main probation of this village. Generally each family have his own form land he is self employed in his won work. Some people are government employee and some have their own business.

 This village have about all basic amenities and facilities which a village should have. This village have a Pnchayat Ghar, a Primary School, an Anganwadi Kendra, a computerized milk dairy, 3 Temples.

Computerized milk dairy of this village is very interesting and worth watching. It also have a big Milk Cooling System where milk is collected from the villagers. Cooling system of this dairy keeps milk fresh and after 8-10 hours milk van takes all the milk to the city Lucknow. About villagers of 10-12 villages sells milk to this dairy firm. Milk selling is also a probation of this village.

The main crop of the villagers are Paddy(rice), Wheat and Menthol(Mentha oil or Pepermint). Menth oil is a oil extracted from fresh mint leaves. This oil is either colorless or pale yellow in color. This is widely used in Medicines, chocolates, cosmetics, cough drops, mouth fresheners, confectionary, tooth pastes, cosmetics and many other uses.

Mentha Oil is the best source of earning money of these villagers and many other side by villagers. This village also have many mentha oil extraction plants. Villagers get the cost of mentha oil about Rs. 500-800 per k.g. in an average.
